Be a Giver and a Taker
My friend Stacy Brice, in her Virtual Moxie blog commented on the Smile chapter in Vantagepoints recently. You can read her post here.
Her point is that we are at our best when we are willing to give to others AND able to ask others for what we need in a gracious way.
Here is her final paragraph:
In this life there are givers and there are takers. Too few are both. Be both. Take what help you need to grow and develop your own business, and never hesitate to share with another. You don't grow weaker by helping someone else; by giving someone else's wagon a push. Instead, your acting from abundance makes everyone that much stronger, and the profession that much more solid. This reflection is exactly why I write Vantagepoints each month and published the book. Stacy has read and reflected on what I wrote and the lessons I drew from the situation, then found other lessons that are valuable to her - and because she shared her reflections - valuable to many others.
That is how expansive learning from everyday situations can be when we observe, reflect and share,
Thanks for sharing Stacy.
